We would also like to thank everyone for all their continue support and look forward to many more exciting adventures together. Don't forget to check out the photo gallery's. This is how we hope to entice you into joining us next time. :)

EVEREST SOUTH EXPEDITION IN PROGRESS- Daily Dispatches from the mountain side.

Avalanche Courses EXTREME AVALANCHE SEASON Our avalanche courses were booked solid this winter by backcountry enthusiasts seeking information on how to be the most prepared they possibly can for exploring the backcountry this winter. Deadly layers formed early in the year and so far there have been 7 avalanche related deaths in British Columbia. The worst is yet to come for treacherous terrain. All experts are fearful that once the ground starts to warm up under the slopes, it will not only release avalanches but when they do go, they will  go BIG!....We urge everyone to exercise extreme caution not only when the bulletins are giving warnings, but all the time. Spring can be the worst time for avalanches as everyone is feeling energetic by the warming weather and blue skies.  Backcountry enthusiasts have earned strong skier legs by now and may feel a bit too confident. We urge you to stay safe this spring.  For bulletins we encourage you to please stay on top of it at www.avalanche.ca

KILIMANJARO- Our expedition this New Years to the top of Kilimanjaro in Africa was a great success. We climbed via the normal Marangu route utilizing huts along the trail. What we learned was that this trail is much too crowded for comfort and the ascent is very long doing it this way.  Next New Years we are climbing via the Machame Route. It is still a relatively gentle ascent but more direct. We will camping providing a fully catered camp facility the entire way. This is absolutely the way to go. Clean, no crowds and more of a real mountain experience.

If you are considering joining us next New Years, bookings for airfare have to in place no later than June.1, 2008 as it is peak Christmas travel season. The New Years climb will be led by Tim Rippel but we do offer other dates led by our African guides. For all the details and photo gallery, click on the link:

JANUARY 08

ACONCAGUA- Now this is a fun climb and Mendoza, Argentina the climb gateway city should be on everyone's wish list. Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the America's and one of the seven summits. The location is in the heart of the Andes in Argentina, only 12klm's from the Chilean border. There is so much to do here beside climbing. One can go hiking, camping trek supported by mules, rafting, horse back riding and wine tours by bike is popular one. Mendoza.......ah.... vineyards, steaks for $5- bucks, drink incredible wines and siesta the day away from 1 to 5pm daily. Music in the streets, a zillion street side cafes all under the canopy of very large trees and umbrellas. Do join us next February for an excellent adventure in the Andes.  February is summer in Argentina!    The climb is one of the 7 summits and is the highest mountain in the Americas. Excellent pre-Everest acclimatization training.
