Our offering is
unique!
October 11th
Everest Base Camp trek has been recently redesigned to offer our participants the
best possible chance for success while adapting the changes we've been trekking
and climbing here for 25 years now in the Khumbu. The new itinerary allows
participants more time to acclimatize at the critical altitude change around
4000m and offers you time off the busy trail,
time to really get into life in the Himalayas. With
our new agenda you will have 2 nights at Dingboche hiking above the village and
back down to spend the second night there. You are then invited to join in
with our mountaineering expedition set-up at Island Peak in the Chukung Valley
for two nights "expedition style" in tents (best of both worlds,
lodges and tent combo). Most will say this was the highlight of their overall
experience. We have a pretty nice camp and great food, you will be surprised.
You will watch our Sherpa crew in action taking care of every detail to make you
as comfortable as possible. The trek to Island
Peak will get you off the busy Khumbu trail for a couple days during the peak
trek season. This is something we feel is important during the critical
acclimatization phase of the Everest trek. Staying healthy is the crux of this
experience, just being able to trek as though you are alone in the Himalayas can
be an experience we feel everyone deserves, the way it used to be, the magic
that made the Sherpa people who they are today and as Tengboche Ringboche
says; Refreshing
the body and mind..."If you
walk the trails of Nepal,
you will know what Buddhist dharma is all about." Tengboche
